Integration Concern
Previously, jsporrer said the goal was to create a mobile app that can run on multiple platforms, such as Apple iOS, Windows and Android.
Do I need some kind of VMware or Virtual Lab Machine to create a mobile app that can run on specified multiple platforms?

The software platform that you use to develop the mobile app is your choice. You must be able to demonstrate your mobile app in action. However you choose to do that is up to you.

Hello, jsporrer. I'll be using Windows as my software platform. Thank You.

When l develop the mobile app, will the judges be looking for one mobile app or many mobile apps?
Because of my autism, the directions weren't so clear. I will need some more clarifications to the directions.

The judges will be looking for one mobile app that can be run on multiple platforms like the ones stated in the challenge requirements. Under the evaluation criteria, the judges will be looking to see if the application has been tested on the intended platforms.

I agree with numbers115, the requirement mentioned about one app on multiple platforms and the answer to use a platform of choice are conflicting.
But speaking of requirements, I think they mean a multi-platform app, which is a web app and nothing else. But as a pure web app it cant be published on the App store(iOS) to my knowledge.
You could use www.phonegap.com , without any platform specific stuff in general, just would need some commands while creating a project, to wrap html5 in to platform code. --- So one code and a couple of commands and you can publish to different stores.

We weren’t implying that you had to use the same platform to develop code for the app that runs on different systems such as apple iOS or android devices. The methods you choose to meet the challenge requirements are the programmers choice. The one app on multiple platforms simply stated implies that the application should be developed in such a way as to have the very same look and feel across the different platforms. Sorry for any confusion.

Do I need to have any Java or Visual Basic codes for this project?
jsporrer Manager • over 12 years ago
We didn’t specify how the coding was to be done so that the programmer(s) would be free to use whatever tools available to them. You can certainly use Java and/or Visual Basic codes if it helps you achieve the challenge goal and the app meets the specified requirements for this challenge.
